Le Manoir Hotel

Great Milton, Oxfordshire

We were appointed to design a new Rose garden at Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons | Raymond Blanc, Oxford alongside David Austin Roses - to showcase and commemorate their new rose of 2025 - The Kings Rose.

Positioned at a key point within the estate, the Rose Garden is conceived as a destination space designed to draw visitors and support weddings and events, with carefully composed views for ceremony and photography.

The design follows traditional rose garden principles, combining structured hedging, axial geometry, and defined garden rooms. Views are framed and punctuated with ornamental detailing, while seasonal roses and scent create a rich, immersive experience.

The scheme is carefully integrated within the historic landscape, responding to existing features across the site. The famous dovecote is enhanced with a mixed planting bed that softens its base and strengthens its setting.
