Oxfordshire Cottage

This garden underwent a major transformation from a mass of concrete out-buildings to a naturalistic landscape more in-keeping with its surroundings. Over 200 tonnes of concrete and bricks were transported off site where they where reused as a base layer for woodland track roads. The newly unearthed landscape was divided into areas of terraced lawns, naturalistically planted beds, wildflower & grassland meadows, paved walkways and an arboretum.

The wildflower meadow seed which was chosen due to its suitability to clay soils consisted of an annual & perennial seed mixture. The annuals ensured the client enjoyed a first year of colour before the perennials had grown ready to flower for the subsequent years after.
